Jason Murphy, our founder, came from a difficult childhood, having divorced parents and being exposed to abuse. He was raised a cradle Catholic, but practicing his faith wasn’t a priority. This difficult upbringing led to him abusing drugs and alcohol. There was no direction or focus in his life since he lacked good role models, which led him into deep depression and contemplating suicide.
Jason’s friend saw a crucifix hanging on his wall, which his grandmother had gifted him. He assumed Jason was Catholic, so he invited him to return to Mass after not practicing his faith for
years.
That Sunday changed his life forever. He experienced deep reverence, tradition, and beauty in that Mass and has continued to attend every week since then. After his reversion back to the Catholic faith, he started to experience greater life satisfaction, which led to success in his career, marriage, and family life.
Although life has been good to him, he felt that he still wasn’t living up to his God-given potential. He was out on a fishing trip when he received a notification that someone was going live on Instagram. It was Cesar Vasquez, founder of Sons of Mary Rosary Apostolate, inviting other men to pray the rosary with him. After experiencing praying with men all around the world, he felt a new sense of hope to do something more purposeful with his life again. To break free from complacency and live more for God.
He felt a tug that God wanted more from him. At that point, he asked, “What do you want me to do, Lord?” After attending a Christian-based men’s boot camp event, he started to wonder if there was something like this for Catholic men. He found nothing. He was open to God’s will to show him what to do about this, and the rest is history.
"And He said to all: If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me."

The Martyrs' Walk is the premier Ignatian retreat, spiritual exercises & bootcamp experience designed to forge a man in brotherhood, forge a man in Christ, and forge a man for life.
It comes to us all and it comes quickly. Will you be ready for the "when" and "where"?
Will you be seated at the right hand or the left of The Lamb? What are you doing about it?
The reward for the just. But not to be presumed upon. Will you be found worthy? Are you sure?
The punishment of the wicked. The greatest trick of Satan is to convince man he doesn't exist. Do you still believe?
